The project of life
The “Life Project” is a set of propositions elaborated by the multidisciplinary team and shared with the disabled person himself and his family, who take charge of the person with disabilities. It must specify the "General Purposes" that inspire the work of the whole team in relation to the person with disabilities, with reference to the quality of life domains.
A life project must therefore have the following characteristics:

It must guide the interventions for an adequate period of time (5 years)
If you make plans for a year,
sowing of wheat.
If your projects extend to ten years,
plant a tree.
If they span a hundred years,
educate the people.
Sowing wheat once,
you ensure a harvest.
If you plant a tree,
you will make ten crops.
By educating the people,
you will reap a hundred times.
(Chinese proverb)
It must collect the preferences expressed by the person
A project relating to a person, if it does not want to be destined to fail even before it is born, it cannot ignore what it wishes, in this regard the assessment of preferences is in fact of particular importance.

Provide continuity to the individual story
Having a document available to guide the interventions for 5 years allows to reduce the risk of discontinuity of the planned interventions.

It must be "founded"
It must have solid foundations: be born from clear constructs, precise information and make sense of the next treatment plan.

The ecological balance
The tool that allows synthesis between the different assessments and guarantees the "validity" of a project is the ecological balance.

The ecological balance collects all the information relating to the expectations that the person has, the expectations that ecosystems have (family, work, oratory, school, etc.), the challenging behaviors, the skills that the person has but which are not used and those instead exercise and health conditions. The ultimate goal of this tool is to order (according to the priority criterion) and categorize (according to the domains of quality of life) all the information deriving from the assessments and from the ecosystems surrounding the person.
